DESTEC will present all of its young researchers; today we present Vito Giordano and his research activities.

Vito Giordano is a fixed-term researcher (RTd-A) at the University of Pisa, where he carries out research and teaching activities in the field of Management Engineering. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Management Engineering and a PhD in Smart Industry at the same university, he continued his academic career as a university researcher, working primarily on the PNRR project Future Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR).

His research activities focus mainly on the study and application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to support managerial processes, with particular emphasis on Innovation Management, Human Resource Management, and New Product Development.

At the beginning of 2025, together with Filippo Chiarello, he founded the DETAILLs living lab in Pisa, where he serves as Vice-Director. The laboratory was established within the Erasmus+ DETAILLs project and is dedicated to the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence for the design of sustainable products through the Living Labs approach. DETAILLs involves students, researchers, and companies in co-design activities for innovative solutions to real sustainability challenges, integrating education, experimentation, and local impact.

Vito Giordano has participated in numerous national and international research projects, including ASSETs+, ENCORE, and DETAILLs. He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for several international journals.
