These are the images that marked the opening and closing of an interesting educational experience undertaken by the students of the course “Energy Analysis of Buildings” at the School of Engineering of the University of Pisa, delivered within the five-year degree program in Building Engineering–Architecture and the master’s degree program in Structural and Building Engineering.

On November 24, a technical visit took place at the construction site of the new Santa Chiara Hospital in Cisanello (Pisa), during which students had the opportunity to engage directly with the facility’s Energy Manager, gaining in-depth insight into the ongoing interventions related to energy efficiency.

The visit included a detailed inspection of the new thermal power plant, equipped with technologically advanced systems and representing a strategic hub for the efficient and reliable energy management of the entire hospital complex.

This proved to be a particularly effective opportunity to connect the theoretical concepts covered in class with real-world applications, increasing awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with the energy design of complex buildings.
